This horizontal canvas brings a burst of energy to the room with its vivid, abstract interpretation of a waterfront city skyline. The artist uses thick, expressive strokes to build up a colorful row of buildings in yellow, orange, red, and blue, which are mirrored perfectly in the shimmering water below. The reflections create a sense of depth and movement, making the painting feel alive rather than just a static image on the wall. The technique here leans into heavy texture, giving the piece a tactile quality that invites you to look closer at the layering of paint. It’s not a traditional landscape but rather a modern, almost pop-art style abstraction where the focus is on color and light. You can see the physical effort in the brushwork, which adds character and prevents the piece from feeling too sterile or digitally generated. It works exceptionally well over a large sofa, acting as a focal point that ties together the surrounding furniture. Whether you have a sleek black leather couch or a cozy cream sectional, this painting adds a necessary splash of color to balance out neutral tones. It feels less like standard decoration and more like a conversation starter about urban life and water.
