Hallway and Entryway Wall Art

Hallways and entryways are the walls that get walked past, not sat in front of. The art in a hallway should be a horizontal panoramic piece or a square piece that holds the eye as the viewer moves past it. A vertical piece in a hallway reads as a mistake.

For a long narrow hallway, a series of three to five smaller pieces, 30 by 30 cm each, with 8 to 10 cm between them, reads as a gallery wall. For a wide entryway wall, a single 60 by 90 cm or 90 by 120 cm piece is the right move. The pieces in this collection are horizontal and square, sized for both walls.

See the large wall art guide for the sizing math.
